7: KEEN-WA is Quinoa

Just finished eating dinner. I finally was able to make the Quinoa pasta correctly. Last time it cooled too fast and made a soupy cream-corn mess. (Quinoa is a blend of corn and grain, FYI) Today it came out perfect. If you haven't tried Quinoa pasta, I definetely recommend it. It is really a better option when it comes to pasta because it is Gluten-free and has no cholesterol. It also tastes really yummy. :)

Here's what we used to make spaghetti.

Ancient Harvest Quinoa

Quinoa I learned is not pronounced "KWI-No-ah" but rather "KEEN-wa". It is grown in Bolivia about 12,000 ft above elevation. It is referred to as the "Mother Grain" because of its nutritious qualities. It contains the highest amount of protein than any other pasta. This explains why I had to pay $3.06 for an itty bitty package. Let me just say though that it is worth every penny.

That's all I have to say about that.
